One of the goals of My Virtual Dream is personal empowerment. By helping you learn more about your brain you learn more about yourself. In way, we see MVD as a way for you to find your true voice.
“I see a lovely parallel between the My Virtual Dream musical experience, and witnessing music students recognize their authentic sound for the first time,” explains Adria McCulloch, MVD Soprano and professional music teacher. “It’s an emotional experience to realize your true voice, and that you are in control!” added McCulloch.
What makes My Virtual Dream so unique is that the audience-dreamers are in control of the visuals and the music.
“The composers have created individual voices for each dreamer to identify themselves. We as performers get to encourage them to use their sound to play as part of our ensemble. It will never be the same piece twice!” said McCulloch.
Using only their brain waves the dreamers influence the presentation. With each dreamers’ changing emotional state driving the show they are, in essence, bringing their voice to the show.
