What if the audience is the performer?
What if entertainment is education?
What if science is actually art, and art is indeed science?
Welcome to My Virtual Dream, a completely new interactive, live entertainment-education experience at the intersection of science and art.
My Virtual Dream is a “live lab” that engages the public, fuels science, creates art and educates while it entertains.
Some say, “My Virtual Dream is the “Cirque du Soleil of neuroscience.” Others have said, “My Virtual Dream is what you’d get if you combined The Blue Man Group with Burning Man and a TED Talk.
Immersed inside a space of translucent white screens the audiences become the performers, whereby they use their brain waves to co-create a stunning performance of visuals and sounds.
The audience “dreamers” shares their collective brain activity with The Virtual Brain, a cutting-edge neuroscience computational program.
The Virtual Brain is the world’s first open simulation of the human brain based on individual large-scale connectivity; created by a global consortium of 15 distinguished research teams spanning 3 continents, 7 countries and 10 universities.
The Virtual Brain translates ideas from the five main frequencies of the dreamers’ brain waves into a powerful visual dreamscape.
The Virtual Brain translates emotions from the dreamers’ brain waves into a compelling musical experience.
The audiences, along with musicians improvising live, use their brain waves to create a unique mix of music.
The results of this incredible science-art-music collision are layers of artwork, stop-motion animations, transparent images and sounds projected in real-time on a reflective dome.
